The Auction House Company was established by The Scaturro Family in 1982. Bill Jr. along with his father Bill Sr. and mother Shirley graduated from the Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, MO. The Auction House Company opened their business in Granite City, IL on Madison Ave. For the first 13 years, they held an Auction there every Saturday night.

The company has grown and is now established in Collinsville, IL where it is owned and operated by Bill Jr. It now focuses on conducting real estate auctions, antique sales and on-site sales. Twenty years ago, Bill Jr. conducted and sold the first home to be auctioned off in Granite City. At that time this was something no one had heard of. Now selling real estate or land at auction is so common that it occurs on a regular basis.

In 2002, Bill expanded his services by attending appraisal school and is certified to appraise personal property, antiques and businesses that are liquidating merchandise. Surrounding banks and lawyers have found this service to be especially helpful for areas such as divorce and bankruptcies. Special areas of emphasis in the appraisal training include estate and gift appraisals, charitable donation appraisals and casualty loss appraisals. These areas include antiques, automobiles, farm equipment, jewelry, guns, collectibles and common household items.

The Auction House Company was established in 1982 and is going stronger than ever. Myself, Bill Scaturro (auctioneer) and staff have conducted over 3000 auctions. Another branch of our service is appraisals. While doing business with local bankers, lawyers and insurance companies we are able to provide appraisals for any items due to divorce, bankruptcies and causality losses. Promoting

We buy entire estates or consign merchandise. We are now conducting consignment auctions in the surrounding areas including St Louis. We co-broker and welcome realtors.

Promoting your property is our main priority. Custom color signs and brochures with color pictures as well as detailed descriptions of assets to be sold will be promoted. We focus on internet marketing as well as classified newspaper advertising, signage and onsite facilities.
